A Journal of Accidents: Chapter 1

Hey Dreamers! I’m so sorry that I have not been posting in a while! I did not get much time to write. But here it is the complete chapter 1 of A Journal of Accidents

Journal Post #25

One day, just like any ordinary day, the sun was shinning and the grass was green and fresh…. blah blah blah, etc. Well, to be honest, I never had a day like that. I live in the city where there is no sun or a patch of grass to be seen. All of it is made out of concrete, pure and dull concrete. The city’s name? Greenville. Ironic isn’t it? Exactly what I think. But somehow, this day that was a normal day and the everyday routine was special. Truly and extremely out of the norm. Even if the sun wasn’t shinning or if I didn’t see any butterflies, there was something about this day that gave me goose bumps, in a good way. Strangely, in a sad and grey city, there was nothing to sad about today at all.

I guess it as all because of this boy. A boy. I know the most cliche, typical thing a girl could ever say. But he turned my whole world upside down. His name? Well I don’t even know that. All I know is that he has dark black hair, the darkest black you’ve ever seen and these deep dark blue eyes, like the midnight sky. His face was perfection and his body was gorgeous. Beautiful from head to toe. And I, stupidly walked up to him and kissed him right on the mouth. How idiotic of me, and he, strangely kissed back. I don’t know why, but I swear he did. Yeah, call me crazy. So what did I do? I ran away. Crazy. Idiot. Moron. I am all of these cowardly things bunched up into a ball. These words define me at that exact moment.

(Ding dong) Well, I guess I have to get the doorbell, see you soon.

Seriously? Can’t this person just wait for one moment? I mean he rang the bell at least 500 times already. Seriously just stop ringing the bell. I thought. I opened the door…. My heart skipped a beat, my head swelled, my eyes batted because shockingly, he was there. In the rain. He, the guy I kissed was there standing on my porch with his right hand scratching the back of his head. Strange.

“Uh…. Hi” he said

“…. Hey”

“…”

“How did you find me?”

“Well… promise you won’t get scared, I sorta followed you… I just wanted to ask your name.”

“Followed… me?”

Why am I acting so innocent? I swear I am never like this. Never was I the girly type, I mostly the tomboy. I was never in my life so… Feminine. I thought.

“Well, yeah… anyways. I thought I’d say hello, I’m Brian.”  he said and stretched out his hand to shake.

“Lindsay.” I shook his hand.

A trembling sensation crawled up through my arms, goose bumps. Crazy how many emotions pass you by when a guy is standing in your porch with his nerdy smile and utterly gorgeous body… and his eyes… are dark blue. This feeling of overwhelming emotions, swaying you like when you’re just standing in the ocean, feet not touching the ground.

“Ummm…. Are you alright?” asked Brian “you sick or something, probably it’s best that I go.” Just like that, Brian starts walking away.

“No!!!” I screamed too loudly. I am a complete idiot. “Please, stay… for a while… I want to…. explain… what happened in the park.”

“Ahhh, no it’s alright… “

Of course, as the complete moron I am, I start blabbering anyway, completely not noticing he just said something. “You see… uh… I was…” Idiot. I can’t explain why I kissed him. “….actually heading towards the trash can in the park that was beside you and sort of tripped.” Yeah, make the excuses, Lindsay.

“Oh… well please excuse me for getting into your way” said Brain “I, actually want to explain why I followed you… it’s because I wanted to ask about our English homework.”

What??? This totally turned my head upside down. Then it hit me. I am such an idiot. I just realized I kissed THE Brian Hernandez. One of the most popular guys in our grade. I am a complete moron. I’m totally going to get into so much trouble for this. No wonder he’s so attractive and actually… pretty smart too.

“Oh… right. Brian Hernandez. English Class 2-4. Okay, the homework was to read chapters 2 and 3.” I said lamely.

“Uh… thanks Lindsay. You know, we haven’t actually talked in class. Maybe you could meet me after school some time?” Brain said with a shaking voice, in an extremely cute manner.

“Uh… yeah… sure.”  I said hesitantly.

“Meet me at the rooftop of the school on Wednesday, once last period is over… which actually is English class isn’t it? Anyways, I’ll see you then.” Brian said with confidence and maybe just a hint of eagerness. With that, Brian turned around and left, without my answer.

A Journal of Accidents: Sneak Peek to Chapter 1

Hello Dreamers! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in a while… just finished off my exams this week 🙂

I know some of you might wonder why I’m writing another story when I haven’t finished Jake and Katarina chapter 2 yet. But you when there is inspiration… you have to write.

Read on for the latest story by Toni, entitled A Journal of Accidents:

Jake & Katarina: Sneak Peek to Chapter 2

Jake has a problem. He had no idea on where to go and how to get back to his world, but that wasn’t the problem because he didn’t care. He didn’t care because he was in a world where there is a Katarina. A warm, kind, beautiful Katarina, the only person he knew could make his heart swell. That was the problem. He knew there was no way in hell that Katrina would ever be with him, since he is a pixie. No way would a mortal marry a pixie and live happily ever after. Come on, I mean mom and dad didn’t work out. How do you think this could work out? Jake thought. He was absolutely crazy. Blushing whenever he thinks of Katarina.

Candy Wonderland

candy wonderland

Once upon a time there were two beautiful 6 year old girls who lived in two different parts of the world.  Ada, whose light brown and blonde hair shines as bright as a sun, lives in Thailand while Alexi, whose black dark hair is as beautiful as the night, lives in the USA.  Little did they know, their paths will soon cross to experience together an adventure of a life time!

One sunny day, Ada and Alexi were playing in their own garden and unexpectedly they found a message written on the ground. “Beware, beware of things you hold. Imagination will flow and see magic unfold. Candy Wonderland, filled with stories untold.”

Both Ada and Alexi were not sure what was happening and surprisingly a portal appeared in front of them. It showed a picture of a place filled with candies of different colours, Chocolate River, lollipop trees, and a road made of candy.  Ada and Alexi entered the portals and alas, they were in Candy Wonderland.

There, Alexi and Ada met a magical fairy, named Clary, floating right before their eyes. Clary, the fairy said “Here are things you should hold dear, two magical items that will protect you from things you fear.” She then handed a wand to Ada and a yellow Power Ranger suit to Alexi.

Ada and Alexi thanked Clary and moved on with their exploration of Candy Wonderland but suddenly ghosts appeared and started to attack them. Ada zapped the ghosts  with the magic wand while Alexi used the laser beams coming from the power ranger suit, but it did not work. They thought about working together and as soon as they combined their powers, zoom, all the ghosts disappeared!

Then, a wisp of vapour came to Ada and Alexi, scent of flowers and cotton candies, their favourite smells. They followed the scents and it led them into a lovely gingerbread house, filled with candies and flowers. They happily skipped their way throughout the house.

Soon they were met by a friendly old man who introduced himself and said “I am the creator of Candy Wonderland! Speak your wish and it will come true!” Ada and Alexi thought about it.  They love Candy Wonderland, but they felt tired after their encounter with the monsters ,so they said in unison, “We want to go home! Our wish is to be with our parents because we love and miss them dearly!”

The friendly old man laughed “Alas that is one wish that is beyond my power, you two will have to figure out a way and only if you combine your special powers will you succeed in finding your way home.” Ada and Alexi recalled that this is exactly what they did when they defeated the ghosts.  So they held hands to combine their magical powers and  immediately, a shimmer of silver and gold glitter covered them.

The next thing they knew, Ada and Alexi are at their own homes, with their parents tucking warm blankets around them.  Slowly, they went to sleep with a smile on their faces as they thought of the wonderful and exciting day they had at the mystical Candy Wonderland.

Jake & Katarina: Chapter 1: The Meeting

Chapter 1: The Meeting

He woke up to a girl with dark black hair with tiny slivers of white, like the stars in space. She had dark blue eyes, as beautiful as the midnight sky. That was all Jake could see about when he woke up. All he could think about was her. She was wearing a rep cropped top that said “Enchanté” with dark blue jeans, all of them complimenting her, she is a beauty and Jake knows it.

“Ugh… hi” Jake whispered as he touched his head and blushed.

“Hello, you look injured, shall I bring you to the hospital?”

“Uh…” Jake blanked out, trying to find words to say to her

“It’s okay, I’ll bring you there. I’ll get a cab” she said and she whistled to the dozen of yellow cabs on the street.

“Where am I?”

“New York City, don’t you know? You do look like a New Yorker. You must be hurt, come on those boys over there beat you up so badly.”

“Okay then.”

The girl brought Jake into the cab, but to him this world was like nothing he has ever seen before. Maybe this is the mortal world mom was talking about he thought. The only thing that was bothering Jake to think that this was the mortal world that he was going to live in is that he never knew how this world looked. He never knew how mortals looked, well except his mom, but when she lived with them, she was pixiefied. Jake was amazed by the amount of light the city had, all bright and glorious. In his world, all he knew of was nature, and everything solely on nature. He has never known of a place with these buildings, skyscrapers and very few trees. This New York, or whatever she called it is absolutely stunning.

“So, what’s your name?” the girl asked

“Carter. Jake Cater.” Jake wanted to say that he was the prince of pixies, but that probably was a bad idea, given that he was in a different world.

“Well I’m Katarina, please don’t ask about the last name.”

“Katarina huh? Well pleasure to meet you.” Jake place a smile on his face, crossed his arms and held one hand for her to shake, but judging from her facial expression, Katarina found it absolutely weird. You idiot, this is a different world, there is probably another way to greet them, how stupid of me. Great first impression Jake he thought to himself as he slowly looked away from her and stared in awe at the wonderful city of New York. They sat like that, there in the cab in silence until they arrived upon the hospital.

Katarina thanked the driver and gave him a stack of green paper, he smiled and slowly moved away. What exactly was that she gave the driver? It’s nothing I’ve ever seen. In Mediocris, all you had to do was say thank you and tip them with a bottle of water, why would they need green paper? Jake thought with all of his might, and was not able to find a conclusion to his never-ending thoughts. Then all of those thoughts disappeared when he saw Katarina. Her eyes staring at him, and he felt as if they were most beautiful pair of eyes he ever saw, they spoke to him a short poem of curiosity.

“What are you looking at?” Katarina said “nothing really pretty here in New York”

Jake blushed at the thought of him getting sucked into those beautiful midnight blue eyes, they were all that he could think about and nothing else could ever make him think of other things. Jake felt that her eyes were able to see his soul and his past. That’s ridiculous he thought No mortal has any superpower, if we are in the mortal world. I think I should ask her if we are.

“Umm…. Katarina is it?” Katarina nodded and Jake’s skin began to crawl. “Are we in the mortal world?”

“Where else would we be, silly? I mean it’s not like there’s a vampire world, demon world, and a pixie world.” Katarina had no idea that all of the worlds that she mentioned existed.

“Well don’t you believe in magic?”

“Not exactly, but I did when I was a kid.”

“What do you mean not exactly?”

“Oh nothing, it’s just that I believe that only kids believe in magic, and I am no kid.”

“Nonsense.”

“Oh really? So you believe in magic?”

“I believe whether one believes in magic or not, there is still something magical about them.”

“That’s deep. Really deep.”

Jake did not understand what deep meant, but he knew that somewhere inside of Katarina, possessed magical powers, just waiting to be realised. “Uh Katarina… can we just skip the hospital, I really am fine.”

“Are you sure? You look really bad.”

“No, its fine.”

“Well then, goodbye Jake Carter.”

“Good-. Hold on, why are you saying goodbye, don’t you think that we will see each other again?”

Katarina looked perplexed. Stupid, stupid, stupid he thought there was no chance for me and Katarina to ever see each other again. Jake then started to walk into the other direction, but then…

“Jake, wait. Maybe we will see each other someday.”

“Someday.”

Neither of them knew, that both had miraculous powers. Neither of them knew that both of them came from another world. Until they meet again…

Jake & Katarina: Prologue

Prologue:

Run, run, and run. That was all the boy with auburn hair and hazel eyes could do. Nowhere to escape but forward. But where exactly was forward? he thought. In a realm of darkness, where nothing could be seen, how exactly was Jake Carter supposed to find a way out? All he knows is that the map he was given by his father told him to keep going forward, once he finds the Golden Grail. What exactly does the Golden Grail do? Jake thought all my dad told me was to find it and give it to him right away, ugh the quests he gives me.

Jake loved his father, he was the one who allowed him to live out of the mortal world, for his mother was mortal and his father, well he’s a pixie. To be more specific the king of Mediocris, a kingdom in the large pixie world, thus that makes Jake the prince. His mother raised him until the age of 10, and that was the moment that Jake had to decide whether he would be the prince, or the average Joe. At that time it was a simple decision for Jake, he would never live in the mortal world because of how boring it is. In the world of pixies, you get quests, adventures, fighting off demons, servants, buffets and all the other royalty perks. But now he thinks that living in the mortal world may not be that bad. It was simpler than having to be a royal figure to his people, which is really difficult to do because his people mock him. The reason is that his age, seventeen, he should have grown wings, since he’s a pixie. But because he is half mortal, and the only half mortal in the entire pixie world, he has no wings at all. Although he may be extremely loyal to his subjects, they continue to mock him because of Jake being wingless. Despite his non-pixie appearance, there was something inside Jake that gave him the courage of remaining in the pixie world, and to rule his people.

Currently, Jake continued to move forward, because forward was the direction that could lead out of this pit of darkness. It felt like days, weeks and months that Jake was running. Finally, he found a tiny source of light in his pathway. Though he was not sure whether this was the pathway back to his kingdom, he knew it was just a way out of this darkness. It was a tiny spark, a sliver of white in the midst of all the black and dark. He finally reached to the light and exited out of the dark. Then, everything else was a blur.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

“Oh I wouldn’t mind, Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.” – Augustus Waters

Dreamers! Hey, it’s Toni 🙂

I should have done this book review a long time ago. Actually, it should have been the first one, cuz it’s so amazing. I’m sorry, but John Green, I am finally going to have the pleasure of reviewing a book written by you.

The Story:

It is probably known to the entire world already, because of the upcoming movie, but anyways…

Hazel Grace Lancaster is a teenage girl suffering from cancer. Her mom tells her to go to cancer support groups just to cheer Hazel up, but nothing can cheer her up because Hazel accepts the fact that one day she will die and will be nothing of importance to the Earth. Then all of that changed when see meets August Waters in one of the meetings of a cancer support group. Now begins the blooming relationship between Hazel and Augustus, They are the example that life doesn’t have to be perfect for love to be extraordinary.

So what’s my opinion?

I LOVED this book, and nothing could make me stop loving it. I laughed, cried and smiled throughout the entire book. I followed their journey and I love John Green’s novels in every way possible, especially this one. Hazel and Augustus are perfect for each other and have showed me what is like to be truly in love with each other, no matter the circumstances.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, because that is how perfect it is. I recommend EVERYONE to read it, and I hope you enjoy it as much I do.

PS. I can’t wait for the movie!

Evermore (The Immortal Series ) by Alyson Noël

Evermoreë

“You never know what you have till you’ve lost it.”

Good day to you, Dreamers! Toni here.

New book review is here! The title is Evermore and the rest of The Immortals series by Alyson Noël.

So what the story?

An average high school teenage girl named Ever (personally, I would never name anyone Ever) and her family terribly had a car accident, and only Ever survived.Strangely, ever since she woke up in the hospital, she can she auras, hear people thoughts and know about someone’s past, just by touching them. It’s crazy how much super power she has, then all of it changed, when she meets Damen Aguste.

My Opinon?

Well, this book is basically another Twilight copy-cat. All about love and supernatural powers. I’ll let all of you know that I never liked any book about Twilight, and that may be the reason why I am going to be harsh on this series. I don’t know, I guess I found this book extremely boring, that I had to skip pages just to get through the book.

I rate this book 2.5 out of 5 stars. I know it’s harsh, but I guess it’s not my cup of tea.

Transformation

A normal grain of sand
Is what I found on the blue deep water shore
I walk into the water, with the grain in hand
And let the grain float
As I follow it to the sea
And see that an oyster has swallowed the grain away
The oyster then opens, and the grain has changed
And a magnificent pearl emanates
